Benefits for the Participants: The Transatlantic Program is a valuable opportunity for U.S. college and university students to do an internship abroad and gain unique practical work experiences in a German host company. The two- to six- months internship matches the academic background and career objectives of the participant. Building up bilateral business contacts and gaining an in-depth-knowledge of German business, politics and culture will help the student to grow professionally as well as personally.
There will be a pre-internship Immersion Seminar in Berlin, a ten-day program consisting of German language-building activities, intercultural training and discussions. The group is brought together again for a Interim Seminar to share experiences and for internship review. The program has established a growing TAP Alumi network which includes an online platform for social and professional networking, yearly reunions, e-Newsletters and more.

"The TAP 2008 was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. You are, without exaggeration, thrown headfirst into the German culture. The sort of immersion that the TAP offers is just not available anywhere else. "
